MAVIS Leno, the wife of former talk show host Jay Leno, has given fans an update on how she’s feeling after her recent diagnosis.
Jay, 74, and Mavis, 77, were in good spirits as they attended the Los Angeles premiere of Unfrosted on Tuesday.
The outing comes after Jay – who has been married to the philanthropist for 44 years – was recently granted a conservatorship for Mavis following her dementia diagnosis.
The couple smiled and posed together as they hit the red carpet for Jerry Seinfeld’s new Netflix film.
The TV personality opted for a black suit with a white button-up, while his wife went with a red turtleneck underneath a patterned top and neck scarf.
Mavis’ look was finished with dark slacks and light blue sneakers, adding to her vibrant ensemble.
The couple was seen holding up the peace sign with their arms around one another as they opened up about how Mavis has been feeling lately.
“I feel great,” Mavis told Entertainment Tonight amid her dementia battle.
“Thought I’d come to something fun for a change,” Jay chimed in, addressing the couple’s latest date night.
“Everything is so controversial. Just to come to a funny, silly movie — it’s great. I think people will have a great time,” he added.
The TV host noted the couple’s longtime relationship and the importance of spending as much time together as possible.
“Well, we hang out every day,” he said of him and Mavis.
“We have a great time. 44 years [married], so we’re doing good.”
JAY’S CONSERVATORSHIP
On January 27, 2024, People reported that Jay had filed for a conservatorship for his wife after her diagnosis.
Court documents revealed that Mavis “sometimes does not know her husband, Jay, nor her date of birth.”
The report added that Mavis “has a lot of disorientation, will ruminate about her parents who have both passed and her mother who died about 20 years ago.”
