IT’S the reunion 90s pop fans have been waiting for as the Spice Girls all reunited for a special performance at Victoria Beckham’s 50th birthday bash.
The all-star event – which included Tom Cruise, Gordon Ramsay and Eva Longoria among the guests – saw Victoria let her hair down for a party to end all parties.
But proud husband David Beckham captured one of the biggest highlights, Victoria getting up to dance with her Spice Girls bandmates, Geri Halliwell/Horner, Mel B, Mel C and Emma Bunton.
Performing their routine to hit single Stop, David was front row to catch on camera the moment the five girls got together, singing and dancing along.
Looking like the ultimate superfan, David’s expression said it all as Geri and Emma pouted to the camera while having their moment.
Sharing the video on Instagram, David simply wrote: “I mean come on x” and tagged all the other girls.
Victoria later shared the clip herself, adding: “best night ever! Happy Birrthday to me! I love you all so much! #SpiceUpYourLife”
Splashing out an estimated £250,000 for the event at exclusive member’s club Oswald’s in London, the black-and-white tie bash was an intimate event of 40 of their celeb pals and family members.
£3,000 bottles of her favourite Chateau Mouton Rothschild, £500 bottles of champagne and food by a private chef was served to the attendees.
Sources at the soiree said “there wasn’t a dry eye in the house”, as the family – including David and Victoria’s four children – spoke of their love for Victoria, while also cracking jokes about her.
But it was the girls reuniting that sent social media into meltdown as the group – who split in 2000 – have not been seen as a fivesome since a reunion performance for the opening night of the 2012 London Olympics.
While four of the girls went on a 2019 reunion stadium tour, Victoria did not join them.
So for her to bust a move for a special occasion proved to be a massive win for superfans everywhere – with a quick demand for Posh to rejoin Sporty, Scary, Ginger and Baby Spice for a new tour sometime soon.
The reunion comes just weeks after Mel B teased that the band could reunite to mark the 30th anniversary of their formation.
Speaking on Loose Women, she said: “We are definitely doing something…I’m probably going to get told off but I’ve said it, there we go! We are doing something this year. I’m in trouble now…”
But in contrast, Mel C has shut down the claims, stating to The Sun: “I adore her and she has this thing, and it can sometimes get us into hot water. Of course we’re always talking, we’d love to do something else.”
“I’d love to get back on stage with the girls but everybody wants to do something a little bit different or in a different way, so it’s just trying to get everyone on the same page at the same time,” she added.
“But Melanie likes to manifest things and she thinks if she says it enough, it will happen. I can’t confirm that there is anything happening soon but we’re always talking about opportunities.”
During the height of their heyday, the girls stormed to stardom with their 1996 Wannabe, before releasing a string of hits including Spice Up Your Life, 2 Become 1, Who Do You Think You Are? and Viva Forever.
In 2000, the band went on hiatus to explore solo careers, but have not released new music in the 23 years since.
Birthday girl Victoria released singles including Not Such An Innocent Girl and Out Of Your Mind feat. TrueSteppers and Dane Bowers, before launching a fashion career.
