JELLY Roll revealed his drastic weight loss while picking up another award during a monumental career moment.
The 39-year-old country music star has been juggling his new diet and lifestyle while prepping for his Beautifully Broken Tour, which commences on April 24 in Detroit.
Jelly Roll attended the Country Music Award (CMA) Triple Play Awards on Monday night and picked up the Songwriter Advocate award.
He took to the stage to thank his fans and the association and showed off his slimmed-down frame.
He donned an all-black leather look for the star-studded event.
Jelly Roll rocked a black jacket that he wore over a dark T-shirt and pants.
He completed the look with a backwards baseball cap and a simple silver chain around his neck.
Jelly accepted his award and got on the stage to make a speech.
“This means a lot to me because if you’re a sweet old lady and you see me at the grocery store and ask me what I do for a living, I realized without hesitation that I would say ‘I’m a songwriter,'” Jelly Roll emotionally revealed.
“I think it’s the most important thing I do. I believe songwriting is what got the platform to have these moments.”
He then revealed is carrying his new award and his previous CMT award, which he received in April, with “pride.”
Jelly Roll’s appearance came after he revealed his new lifestyle change he’s adopted to shed the pounds.
He claims to have shifted weight already through his workout and diet routine.
“I’m probably down 70-something pounds,” the musician told People.
“I’ve been really kicking a**, man. I’m doing two to three miles a day, four to six days a week,” he continued.
“I’m doing 20 to 30 minutes in the sauna, six minutes in a cold plunge every day. I’m eating healthy right now.”
Jelly Roll also revealed that he wants to lose another 100 pounds.
“If I feel this good down this weight, man, I can only imagine what I’m going to feel like by the time I go on tour.”
