Ananya Panday is looking perfect at Pilates. In a new social media post the Indian actress flaunts her washboard abs in a sports bra and leggings while on a Cadillac reformer during a workout session. “Clueless monkey,” she captioned the Instagram Stories image, depicting her “first attempt of the walkover.” How does the 25-year-old approach diet and fitness? Here is everything you need to know about her lifestyle habits.
Ananya loves yoga for the physical and mental health benefits. “It brightens up my face and makes the happy hormones flow, which, in turn, gives a pinkish flush to my cheeks,” she explained to Vogue. “I swear by doing yoga first thing in the morning. I schedule things only once my workout is done.” According to the American Osteopathic Association benefits of yoga include increased flexibility, increased muscle strength and tone, improved respiration, energy and vitality, maintaining a balanced metabolism, weight reduction, cardio and circulatory health, improved athletic performance, and protection from injury.
Ananya starts the day with a trendy but protein packed breakfast. “Avocado on toast with cheese, coffee and some eggs,” she revealed to Vogue.
“I eat well and clean six days a week,” Ananya told Vogue about her diet. “I am the happiest with my body when it’s well-fed, well-rested and well-exercised. More than trying to hit a target body weight or size, I am looking more for happiness by simply being kind to my body.”
Panday will do an at-home workout if she can’t make it out. “I have SO many workouts for exercising at home with no equipment or at the gym, and they are going to make working out together so much fun!” Panday captioned a video of herself getting physical.
Ananya’s go-to cheat meals? “Chocolate chip pancakes, hot chocolate, cookies, butter chicken, cheese naan, pizzas and burgers,” she told Vogue. When Ananya has a cheat day, she makes sure to get back to healthy. “I get back to my set meal plan, but I’m also someone who will pester my trainer to help me balance it out with my workout,” she says.
Panday loves Pilates, as can be evidenced in her Instagram Story. “It’s very good for stretching and I’m not flexible at all, so it really relaxes my body,” she told Vogue. There are lots of studies backing up the benefits of the workout. According to research it helps increase muscle strength, endurance, and flexibility, and to improve posture and balance. Experts maintain that it is a great workout for leaning out.
