Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are cooking up a storm off the field as they unveil tantalizing details about their upcoming restaurant venture.
This steakhouse is not just about prime cuts but crafting a winning menu that delivers flavor-packed experiences fit for champions.
Patrick Mahomes And Travis Kelce Aim To Serve Up Affordable Dining Experience
In a candid exchange with reporters at a press conference during the 101 Awards ceremony, Mahomes shed light on his vision for his new restaurant, 1587 Prime, addressing its affordability amid speculation about menu prices.
When one reporter jokingly suggested a “$15 menu, right?” the NFL star nodded in agreement, emphasizing their commitment to ensuring accessibility for all patrons. In his words:
“I’m sure there will be some things on there that will be $15. All honesty though, we thought about that and we don’t want to make it too upscale, too high-priced that not everybody can go.”
With a focus on creating a welcoming atmosphere, Mahomes expressed his desire for 1587 Prime to become a home away from home for Kansas City residents per PEOPLE.
“We’re going to make it a place where hopefully Kansas City can call it home, and that everybody can be there and really enjoy it,” he affirmed.
Patrick Mahomes’ Vision For 1587 Prime Is To Celebrate Community
Highlighting the significance of Kansas City as the backdrop for their endeavor, the 28-year-old underscored the city’s vibrant spirit and sense of community as instrumental in shaping their restaurant’s character.
But beyond providing a space for communal dining, Mahomes envisioned the space as a hub for post-game celebrations.
He explained, “Hopefully we can win some games at Arrowhead Stadium and then we can get to go over and have a few drinks and food with it.”
And when it came to the menu, Mahomes playfully teased some tantalizing options, including a nod to his well-documented affinity for ketchup.
Patrick Mahomes And Travis Kelce Ignited Excitement With Collaboration
Mahomes’ recent reveal came on the heels of their sizzling announcement earlier this month. In it, the father-of-two and Kelce divulged their partnership with Noble 33 to launch 1587 Prime.
Described as the “ultimate experiential dining destination,” Kelce expressed his enthusiasm for the venture in a statement:
“We’re excited to be a part of this journey with Noble 33 to create a one-of-a-kind dining experience, and what better place to start than our very own Kansas City.”
While eager patrons may have to wait a bit longer for the official opening, Mahomes assured fans that they had been diligently working behind the scenes to bring their vision to life.
Inside The Culinary Collaboration
One of Noble 33’s visionary founders, Mikey Tanha, also noted his excitement, emphasizing the “convergence of culinary artistry, athletic prowess, community enrichment, and unmatched hospitality.”
The organization’s other founder, Tosh Bernan, chimed in, “We are honored to collaborate with two icons of the game to create an unforgettable dining experience for Kansas City and beyond.”
Drawing inspiration from Noble 33’s portfolio of acclaimed restaurants, including Mēdüzā Mediterrania in New York City and Toca Madera in Las Vegas, 1587 Prime is set to raise the bar for culinary excellence in Kansas City.
Patrick Mahomes Reflects On Travis Kelce’s Fame
Mahomes and Kelce are undoubtedly a dynamic duo on the football field, but their camaraderie extends far beyond the field.
While the pair has been making waves in the NFL with their stellar performances, Kelce has recently found himself in the spotlight for reasons beyond football – his high-profile relationship with pop icon Taylor Swift.
As the 34-year-old navigated newfound fame both on and off the field, Mahomes offered insight into how his teammate remained grounded amidst the whirlwind of attention. The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback reflected on Kelce’s journey, sharing:
“Travis has always been Travis. It’s been cool to watch for me because he has all that attention, but he’s just been himself the whole time. He’s still Travis Kelce. He still will walk through the stadium and treat every single person like they’re his best friend. And he’s going to be like that in the locker room every single day. It hasn’t been any different.”
