AL Roker has made a sweet guest appearance on his daughter Leila’s podcast, Cross Culture.
Leila kicked off her first Instagram live with her dad, Al, and he was quick to make a pun about his age.

Al kicked off the podcast by saying: “Not bad for an old guy! So we’re able to do this,” referring to the live video.
His daughter replied: “And quickly! So that’s impressive.”
The Today weatherman responded: “And we’re doing this live because my daughter, Leila Roker, and her best bud, Lauren Williams have a new podcast!”
He introduced the duo and said they met six years ago while studying in Paris.
ALL GROWN UP
Born on November 17, 1998, in New York, Leila is Al‘s second child, and the first child he had with Deborah Roberts.
Growing up in New York City, she attended LaGuardia High School.
Subsequently, she pursued her education at the American University of Paris, where she studied journalism and fine arts.
She graduated from college in May 2021 and has been gradually following in her father’s footsteps to carve out a media career of her own.

In addition to working in Japan covering the Olympics for NBC, she also worked as a production runner for Peacock at the Tokyo Summer Olympics in 2021.
Leila Roker has two siblings – an older sister named Courtney, 35, and a younger brother named Nick, 21.
Al Roker and his ex-wife Alice Bell had their first child Courtney in 1987.
Courtney currently works as a test kitchen manager and recipe developer.
She regularly posts photos of her creations on her Instagram page.
After his divorce from Alice, Al Roker went on to tie the knot with television journalist Deborah Roberts in 1994.
They had their first son, Nicholas, on July 18, 2002.
FAMILY FIRST
Al recently posted a photo while spending time with his granddaughter, Sky Clara.
In the photos, he wore what appeared to be a suit without a jacket while holding Sky close to his chest.
Sky wore a sweet headband on her head with a navy shirt on as she looked over at the camera with her grandpa.
In another photo, Al had Sky on his chest, who was fast asleep.
The last photo found Sky with her little arm around her grandfather’s chest.
Al couldn’t help but smile straight into the camera.
The beloved weatherman’s daughter Courtney Roker gave birth to her first child Sky in July 2023.
The infant and her grandfather have been inseparable since, with Al spending much of his time with the small child.
He doesn’t always share photos of Sky to Instagram, however, making this post a special occasion.
