Freaked out Floridians were in a frenzy over a UFO sighting — but it turns out it was really just Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.
Swift, 33, performed at the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa for three nights over the weekend — and those at home got a surprise show as well.
During her “Reputation”-era set of tour, Swift sings her song “Don’t Blame Me,” and huge beams shoot up into the air and brighten up the sky with a spectacular light show.
From inside the stadium, the lights look like large beams surrounding Swift — but from the outside, it looks like a mysterious moving rectangle in the middle of the sky.
Spooked spectators at home documented what they were sure was a UFO, posting videos of the “aliens” on — where else? — TikTok.
One Tampa resident posted a video of the illuminated sky, screaming and cursing as she and her family watch what they think is a UFO moving in the sky.
When one reasonable person in the background suggests that it might just be lights from Swift’s Eras Tour, the woman filming yells, “That is NOT Taylor Swift.”
She even quipped that “they’re coming for you.”
Swifties in the comments found the now-viral video quite hilarious, with one joking, “Taylor opening the gates of heaven when she was performing Don’t Blame Me.”
“it’s literally lights from the stadium i’m so concerned for peoples critical thinking skills,” another commented.
“As a Taylor swift fan, this is extremely funny,” someone laughed.
Some fans who were at the concert posted their own videos to clear the air.
One person stitched the original video with her own video from the concert, showing what caused the lights in the sky.
“Sorry girl, its not a UFO — the swifties were just at church,” the TikToker clarified.
Another user posted a video of the set from a section higher up, which helps show why the lights were seen from the sky nearby.
Don’t blame them for going wild, though, as Swift’s new stage show is reportedly out of this world.
Fifty-two dates, 20 stadiums, 10 albums, 44 songs taking up more than three hours: Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, which kicked off March 17 at State Farm Arena in Glendale, Arizona, is a production of epic scale.
There are nonstop costume changes, large-scale set swaps and stunts on the outrageous order of a Las Vegas residency.
“It’s almost like a different Broadway musical for each song,” Dave Brooks — Billboard senior director of live music and touring — told The Post. “The production quality is just so far ahead of whatever has been [done] … They’re building these very elaborate sets that they’re using for several songs as opposed to the whole concert.”
The price tag is also infamously astronomical: “The cost has gotta be well north of $100 million … probably a lot more than that,” said Brooks. “It’s gonna be one of the most expensive tours ever, but it will also be one of the highest-generating tours financially. So it pays for itself basically.”
The production’s “unbelievable” powers are even so strong women are being compelled to take over the men’s restrooms.
Meanwhile, Swift subtly revealed how she’s doing post-breakup with longtime boyfriend Joe Alwyn during the Saturday night Tampa show.
A fan was holding up a sign that read, “You OK?” — a nod to Swift’s “You Belong With Me” music video.
During her song “Delicate,” the singer noticed the sign and responded with a thumbs-up.
