The 65-year-old, who played the role of Joey Gladstone in the classic 1990s sitcom, said his diagnosis came after an upper respiratory infection in October that caused major swelling in his lymph nodes.

Dave shared the news of his diagnosis last week, with him revealing in-depth details in a tell-all chat.

John Stamos starred alongside Dave in Full House, with the American actor now showing his support and solidarity for his former co-star in a new photoshoot.

Posing for some new photos together, Dave can be seen beside John who appeared to have no hair whatsoever.

John had put on a bald cap for the occasion, with him looking almost unrecognizable.

Fan reaction was strong, not because of how different he looked, but instead because of how some didn't agree with the way in which John was going about showing solidarity to his friend.

Taking to Instagram to share the snaps, John penned, "Nothing like throwing on a bald cap and flexing some Photoshop skills to show some love and solidarity with my bro @dcoulier.

"You’re handling this with so much strength and positivity—it’s inspiring.

"I know you’re going to get through this, and I’m proud to stand with you every step of the way. I love you."

'WHAT IS THE POINT OF DOING THIS?'

Reacting on Reddit, one person penned, "Lmao a bald cap? SO BRAVE."

Another then said, "Genuinely, what is the point of doing this? I'm struggling to make sense of it at all.

"He's basically gotten dressed up for a photo shoot and is trying to pawn it off as solidarity of some kind. I don't get it."

Meanwhile, on the actual Instagram post, someone else said, "Come on John shave it!!! Sending much love and strength."

"So he's not really supporting him. He's posing for a photo op," said another.

"When people take this route they actually shave their head. I can't help but feel that you're using Dave's diagnoses as a way to make yourself more likeable."

SHOCK DIAGNOSIS

After going to the doctor's for an infection, Dave was sent for some tests before he was diagnosed with cancer.

The doctor said they discovered that Dave had non-Hodgkin's B-cell lymphoma after tests, with them telling him, "It's very aggressive."

Dave told People in a chat, "I went from, I got a little bit of a head cold to I have cancer, and it was pretty overwhelming."

The Full House star then immediately started chemotherapy, with him beginning treatment just two weeks into his diagnosis, and as of last week, he had already undergone the first of six chemo treatments.

"I have my good days. I have my bad days," he told the outlet in his recent chat, noting how some days he feels nauseous and dizzy, and others the steroids kick in, "and I feel like I have a ton of energy."
