Ellen DeGeneres reveals date for final TV appearance ever after insisting she’s ‘done’ with Hollywood
In 2020, the usually sunny TV host was accused of being rude to staffers and visitors
DISGRACED daytime talk show host Ellen DeGeneres has revealed the date of her final TV appearance after being rocked by several scandals.
The former talk show host took to Instagram on Friday to announce that her last-ever TV appearance would be her upcoming comedy special.

According to Ellen, 66, the Netflix-sponsored special would also take place on the anniversary of her marriage to Portia de Rossi.
"I will be celebrating my 16th wedding anniversary on the 16th of August in Minneapolis filming my final Netflix special," wrote the comedian on Instagram next to several photos of the couple.
"What a day!!! I’m so lucky to be loved by the most amazing person I’ve ever met."
She concluded: "I love you Portia. You’re my everything."

Many of Ellen's fans also sent their well wishes.
"Beautiful," wrote film icon Viola Davis.
"Happy anniversary to the most beautiful couple ever," a second person wrote in all caps.
One person went so far as to say that they missed Ellen's daytime talk show.

"Happy anniversary to the both of you," wrote a fourth fan.
"You are both my favorite women, I owe you everything, and there’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think of you and what you’ve done for @thegentlebarn sending you many hugs kisses and love."
Ellen DeGeneres announces final stand up tour after show was canceled and says 'yes I'm going to talk about it'
Ellen's statement comes a month after the comedian started canceling several shows of her "comeback tour" without any explanation.
After announcing the tour in April 2024, Ellen began adding several more stops due to popular demand.
By the end of May, it was reported that the comedian had booked over 20 cities.
However, it was soon revealed by Ticketmaster that Ellen had canceled four of the upcoming shows.

Ellen DeGeneres announced her first stand up tour since the scandal that rocked her world, leading to the end of her daytime TV show. In 2022, Buzzfeed published a bombshell report that claimed The Ellen DeGeneres Show was a "toxic workplace.

The affected shows included the ones in Dallas on July 10, San Francisco on July 20, Seattle on July 22, and Chicago on August 11.
"Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event," the company's statement read.
"You don’t need to do a thing. We’ll issue a refund to the original method of payment used at time of purchase, as soon as funds are received from the Event Organizer."
According to the site, those who were affected would receive the refund "within 14-21 days."
Ellen has yet to issue a statement as to why the shows were canceled.
Many fans were enraged at the change.

"I bought tickets to the Dallas show and you're just not telling fans why you canceled last minute? We deserve an explanation the least you can do," one unamused fan commented on a recent post from Ellen.
The backlash comes four years after she was accused by former staff and visitors of promoting a toxic work environment.
