Glasses are the kind of everyday accessory where a little bit of style can go a long way. Now, those who are in the market for affordably chic specs will have even more options at Target after the brand announced it was launching a new partnership with iconic eyewear company Warby Parker.
According to a Feb. 27 press release, the brand will open in-store counters in the second half of this year. Customers can look forward to a full range of offerings beyond just prescription eyewear and sunglasses, including vision tests, contact lenses, and eye exams.
“We’ve long offered our guests well-designed products at a value, and our latest shop-in-shop partnership with Warby Parker continues that tradition,” Christina Hennington, executive vice president and chief strategy and growth officer for Target, said in the press release. “Warby Parker at Target reflects both brands’ commitment to style, affordability, quality, and convenience. As we test and learn with this new partnership—bringing Warby Parker’s expertise into select stores—we’re enticing new consumers to discover more of Target.”

The first phase of the project will see nearly half a dozen stores launch the new partnership in the second half of this year and will be staffed by Warby Parker employees. Specifically, the inaugural locations will be in Willowbrook, Illinois; Bloomington, Minnesota; Brick, New Jersey; Columbus, Ohio (Polaris); and Exton, Pennsylvania Target locations.
The retailer says it already has plans to expand the number of locations early next year, but did not specify where or how many additional locations will be involved.
But even if you don’t live near one of the listed Target stores, you’re still in luck. The company says it will offer the new eyewear on its website. The retailer also specified that the Warby Parker partnership would complement its currently available Target Optical business, which already operates across more than 500 stores.

That’s not the only thing that will be upping the fashionable offerings at Target in the coming months. On Feb. 27, the retailer also announced it was launching a new partnership with iconic activewear brand Champion. The brand is currently developing a “unique line of high-quality, trend-forward activewear and sporting goods” specifically for the Bullseye.
“When you combine Champion’s legacy in sportswear with Target’s style authority, the result is something special,” Rick Gomez, executive vice president and chief commercial officer for Target, said in the press release. “We know our consumers love new and differentiated items, and this partnership is all about merging sport, style and culture in a relevant way that resonates with them. I can’t wait for everyone to experience this on-trend, high-quality and irresistibly affordable assortment with styles only at Target.”

If you’re anxious to get your hands on the new Champion line, you’ll have plenty of time to make some room in your wardrobe. The company says the first release—which will include more than 500 pieces of apparel, slides, and accessories like bags for both kids and adults—will be released in stores this August. The line will then become available for shoppers on the Target website the following month.
According to the press release, the new releases will use “on-trend colors, exclusive premium fabrics, unique washes and detailed trims and [the] unique Champion logo” that will blend modern and vintage elements. The best part? Most of the items will cost less than $40.
