Adam Beyer is stepping into a bold new chapter with the announcement of a new album, Explorer Vol. 1, marking his first full-length studio release in over two decades.
Scheduled to release June 13th via his own Drumcode label, its title suggests this collection represents just the first installment in a broader creative vision from one of techno’s most respected figures. The project is described in a press release as reflecting “permutations of Adam’s headspace and who he is,” with both musical and visual elements drawing inspiration from his personal interests, including science fiction.
Explorer Vol. 1 will feature 16 tracks, including collaborations with Chris Avantgarde and EDM.com Class of 2025 stars Max Styler and Layton Giordani, among others. Beyer today released the album’s first single, “Explorer,” a dark and driving techno track.
The timing of Beyer’s reveal seems particularly significant as it precedes several major Drumcode events, including the brand’s return to London’s famed Drumsheds venue this Saturday, March 22nd. The lineup features a rare b2b set between Beyer and Brazilian dance music superstar Vintage Culture, alongside performances from other Drumcode roster mainstays.
This flurry of activity builds momentum toward 2026’s anticipated “DC30” celebration, which will commemorate three decades since Beyer founded Drumcode, a label that has become synonymous with forward-thinking techno music.
