With his debut EP ‘Wonderland’ set for release on October 11, the new track is a taste of the vibrant ‘glimmer rock’ sound we can expect from the LA-based artist.

On the meaning behind ‘Vienna (Everything’s Fine)’, Vienna Vienna has shared:

“An ego check, cold sweat and realization, a bit of a bummer. I approach this like I approach everything, facetiously and lathered in distortion.

“Accepting that people care about you hurts like hell, but could you learn to be more like them? If you poke around inside yourself for long enough, you might see love underneath the rubble; It might be worth digging for.”

Accompanied by a playful, hallucinogenic music video, take a listen below.

With his forthcoming EP set to explore the juxtaposition of his queerness and his reevaluated relationship with faith, on collaborating with PULSE Records and DCD2 the multi-instrumentalist has said:

“Truly, the whole experience has been very affirming; I knew early on that they totally saw the vision and it felt very natural to team up.

“Pete and PULSE, they just get it. I’m grateful to be surrounded by unique and whole-hearted creativity every day. Strangeness is celebrated here, which is all I’ve ever asked for. PULSE is definitely the right home for me.”

It’s a sentiment echoed by the Fall Out Boy bassist too, with Pete Wentz adding:

“Have you ever heard something that both felt so familiar and so alien all at once? That’s how I felt when I first heard a Vienna Vienna song. The lyricism feels adjacent to something our band would do, but also completely new and odd in the best way.”
