Serinda Swan in Workout Gear Shares "Portofino Dump"

Serinda Swan is a talented actress known for her roles in Reacher, Graceland, and Breakout Kings. Recently, she took a well-deserved vacation to Italy, sharing glimpses of her trip on Instagram, including enjoying spaghetti, relaxing on the beach, and admiring art. Captioning her post “Portofino Dump,” she gave fans a peek into her vibrant life. Curious about how she keeps herself in such great shape? Read on to discover five ways Serinda Swan stays fit, complete with photos that showcase her dedication.

Swan doesn’t care what people think of her. She talked about this in regards to her IMDB rating to New Beauty. “In some ways, it really doesn’t matter. The thing is…if you allow someone to rate you, then you have to actually believe in its value at your core. If you’re number one, it’s incredible, but if you’re a number 500,000, then that would destroy you.”

Swan shared some of her favorite skincare products with New Beauty. She says that she looks for products that keep her skin hydrated. “I also really fell in love with Ko Gen Do’s Moisture Foundation ($74). It’s so dry in Toronto, where we film. It keeps that no-makeup look, which work well for the show because my character can be in the middle of fighting for her life. I’m not going to stop and be like, ‘Oh, let’s put on some foundation.’ I found that really natural worked best.”

Swan tells New Beauty that she makes sure to remove all her makeup from the set. “We use a lot of Victoria Beckham bronzers on Reacher. I find they work really well for camera…but getting anything off is usually an issue for me because of my allergies. One of the things that I found that works—it is my favorite thing now—is Burt’s Bees Micellar Makeup Remover Cloths ($7). You can buy it half the time at the Hudson at the airport. For some reason, it’s the one thing that my skin doesn’t react to. I can use it in the car on the way back from set. I can use it on the car on the way back from boxing. I keep a pack in my car, I keep a pack with me, wherever I need to do that when I’m traveling.”

Swan tells New Beauty that she likes to use a serum on her face. “When I’m home, I do like a setup. I really love Angela Caglia’s new serum ($395) that she has. I went to Violet Grey, and they did a great test with me where she gave me five different products to use to see what I would react to. The serum is the first thing in five years that I’ve been able to use that my skin doesn’t react to and I like visibly see a change.”

Swan likes to do yoga to stay in shape. And she’ll do it anywhere. Swan shared this video on Instagram of herself doing poses on a paddleboard in the lake. She captioned the post, “Upside down styles…Been trying to master this dismount for days lol.” Harvard Health states that yoga has a lot of benefits. “Yoga develops inner awareness. It focuses your attention on your body’s abilities at the present moment. It helps develop breath and strength of mind and body. It’s not about physical appearance. Yoga studios typically don’t have mirrors. This is so people can focus their awareness inward rather than how a pose — or the people around them — looks. Surveys have found that those who practiced yoga were more aware of their bodies than people who didn’t practice yoga. They were also more satisfied with and less critical of their bodies. For these reasons, yoga has become an integral part in the treatment of eating disorders and programs that promote positive body image and self-esteem.”
