Pictoria Vark, the moniker of Chicago-based artist Victoria Park, has unveiled her latest single, ‘Make Me A Sword,’ a vibrant preview of her upcoming sophomore album, Nothing Sticks, set for release on March 21, 2025, via Get Better Records.

‘Make Me A Sword’ is a burst of fun and dynamism, channeling a Springsteen-inspired groove with clever, subtle wordplay woven into its lyrics. Born from Park’s intent to inject lightness into her forthcoming LP, the track radiates with catchy hooks and an energetic, playful spirit. Crafted as a bass guitar-led anthem this single showcases a bold evolution in her artistry, blending organic performance with a driving rhythm primed to ignite house parties or road trip playlists. Paired with a music video and produced alongside Gavin Caine and Bradford Krieger at Big Nice Studio in Lincoln, RI, ‘Make Me A Sword’ marks a fresh, unapologetic chapter for the multi-instrumentalist.

Park says:

“This song was made in hopes of recognizing and sympathizing with the coping mechanisms I developed to keep myself safe, even if they no longer serve me. Also, it’s about playing music and feeling like a court jester. I hope people can put it on at their house party or while driving around with friends. I want my music to be part of people’s lives in a fun way too, not just processing the bad stuff!”

With ‘Make Me A Sword,” Pictoria Vark delivers a track that’s as infectious as it is introspective, offering listeners a spirited anthem to wield as they await the full unveiling of Nothing Sticks next spring.
