Party Nails shares empowering new single ‘First Responder’

Multifaceted artist Party Nails returns with her latest alt-pop single, ‘First Responder,’ released via Eye Knee Records on October 18th, 2024.
Originally written as a country song, ‘First Responder’ evolved into a vibrant, synth-driven pop anthem thanks to the creative collaboration between Party Nails (Elana Carroll) and co-producer Ben Greenspan. The track’s standout bassline, contributed by Jordan Brooks, along with Carroll’s layered vocal harmonies and punchy guitar solo, creates a magnetic soundscape. At its core, the song addresses the frustration of always being the emotional caretaker in a one-sided relationship.
Reflecting on the inspiration behind the track, Party Nails shares:
“Without naming names, I was so tired of dropping everything to soothe someone who seemed to always have an emergency. I felt like my loyalty was being taken advantage of. I felt like I needed to take a stand for my own peace. And I wanted there to be a bit of humor in the songwriting as well.”
