Microsoft has launched a pre-order for Crocs that features the Windows XP operating system as its theme, but there’s a catch.

What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you think about Microsoft XP? Chances are, it’s the iconic Bliss wallpaper featuring a green hill under a vibrant blue sky, or perhaps it’s the blue and green color palette all over the interface.

Well, if you’ve ever been keen on wearing something that represents those, you’re in for a treat. Microsoft has just unveiled a new Windows XP-themed Crocs that features these elements in the design.

Following Microsoft’s 50th anniversary, these limited-edition Crocs are currently available for pre-order, as reported by The Verge.

Microsoft is releasing a Windows XP-themed Crocs with accessories

The Crocs come with Jibbits as well as a matching drawstring bag.

Priced at $80, these Crocs feature the famous Windows XP Bliss wallpaper with its fluffy clouds as the design of the upper part of the shoe.

Meanwhile, the sole is painted green to make it look like grass, perfectly matching the original default wallpaper of the operating system. It’s a fitting look that immediately reflects Windows XP, considering that this image is so iconic and considered one of the most viewed photographs.

Aside from the Crocs, there are also six packs of Jibbits that fit with the Windows XP theme. These bring familiar icons such as the original MSN butterfly, Internet Explorer logo, mouse pointer, and Clippy, the paperclip virtual assistant available in Microsoft Office.

These are essentially some of the charms that you can attach to the shoes’ holes to personalize them. As the icing on the cake, each order includes a drawstring backpack with the same Bliss design.

There’s a massive catch, though. Sources told The Verge that, currently, only Microsoft employees can place orders on these unique Crocs.

At the time of writing, it’s unknown if these will ever be available to the public or retailers, as Microsoft hasn’t officially announced it yet. We’ll just have to be patient for the time being.
