Goose has unveiled ‘Thatch,’ the latest single from their highly anticipated fourth studio album, Everything Must Go, arriving April 25 via No Coincidence Records.
First introduced in their live sets back in 2022, ‘Thatch’ has become a fan-favorite for good reason. The studio version captures the song’s dynamic range, moving between high-energy grooves and moments of lyrical introspection. Frontman Rick Mitarotonda’s vocals drive the song’s propulsive rhythm while engaging with existential themes, delivering a track that’s both vibrant and thoughtful.
Mitarotonda says of the song’s inception:
“There are always little ideas and melodies getting stowed away into voice memos on my phone. ‘Thatch’ started as one of those. It was sitting around as an idea like that for a while, then came together relatively quickly during a transitional period in late 2022.”
With ‘Thatch,’ Goose offers a taste of what’s to come—an expertly crafted track that blends their jam-band roots with polished studio production, setting the stage for their next era.
