About Final Destination Franchise
Back in 2000, the first Final Destination film laid the groundwork for the entire saga. It centres on Alex Browning, a young man readying for a Paris trip with his Mt. Abraham High School comrades. However, their journey turns nightmarish when Alex foresees their Volée Airlines Flight 180 meeting a catastrophic end due to mechanical faults, resulting in a fatal explosion. Responding to his premonition, Alex and a few companions narrowly evade the doomed flight, inadvertently defying Death’s plan. This instalment sets the stage, establishing the franchise’s principles, depicting Death as the ultimate adversary, and unveiling the ominous roster of souls targeted for demise.
Raking in $112 million worldwide from a modest $23 million budget, the debut film was a triumph. Following its success, four more chapters graced screens until 2011, garnering a combined global haul of nearly $700 million. Bloodlines heralds the franchise’s resurgence after a hiatus since then.
