Best Motion Picture—Drama is stacked with powerhouses, including Dune: Part Two, Denis Villeneuve‘s sci-fi epic, alongside The Brutalist and A Complete Unknown, which showcase thought-provoking narratives. Nickel Boys, adapted from Colson Whitehead‘s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, and September 5, a compelling tale of resilience, also made the cut.

In Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, the spotlight shines on Wicked, a fan-favorite adaptation of the Broadway sensation, and Challengers, Luca Guadagnino‘s romantic drama with a comedic edge. Karla Sofía Gascón‘s Emilia Pérez and The Substance have also drawn attention for their fresh takes on musical and comedic storytelling.

Animation enthusiasts have much to celebrate with a competitive Best Motion Picture – Animated category. Pixar’s Inside Out 2 and Disney’s Moana 2 face off against more niche artistic projects like Memoir of a Snail and Flow. Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl and The Wild Robot round out this diverse lineup.

For cinematic spectacle, the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category celebrates commercial hits that pushed boundaries, from Deadpool & Wolverine to Gladiator II and Twisters. Musical adaptations like Wicked and animated films like The Wild Robot also found recognition.
