Shields has amazing skin, and she makes sure to take care of it. She shared her secrets with Allure. “My main focus is hydrating because I fly a lot,” she explained. “I’m very active. I live in a city. The moisture is the most important part of my routine. My routine in the morning and night, usually, is pretty much the same. Sometimes the cleansing at night is more intensified because I’ve had makeup on in the day.“
Shields shared her skincare routine with Allure. “I use the True Botanicals Ginger Turmeric Cleansing Balm, which I take off with warm water and a washcloth. At night I use the Resurrection Radiance Eye Cream and the Chebula Extreme Cream. If I wake up in the middle of the night, I’ll always dab a little bit more on. Every now and then, though, I’ll use Moisture Lock Barrier Cream as an overnight mask.”
Shields shared her favorite workouts with Health Magazine. She says that she likes to use inversion boots. “I’ve just started hanging upside down in inversion boots, doing hamstring pulls and sit-ups. I’m amazed at how great it feels on my back. I’ll just hang there and then start doing a whole series of crunches and things like that. It’s really hard, but it’s really great, and I notice a difference.”
Shields makes sure to workout at home. She shared some of her favorite exercises in this Instagram video. In it, she is seen holding a plank on an exercise ball. Shields captioned the post, “I like to do this exercise on the ball for a full body burn (and great for your obliques!). Listen to your body and make modifications if you need to, the important thing is that you get your body moving! Activity is good for the body and mind.”
Shields tells Glamour that she has reached a point where she is comfortable with herself. “I’m at this place which I don’t think I dreamt I’d ever get to. I’m changing the narrative that I’ve been playing over in my head: not good enough, too famous, not this, not this, not this. I am so proud. I’m proud of my girls: two vibrant women who are going to be fine, who are unique and smart and funny and different. I feel lucky, and I do feel proud, because I know I had something to do with it.”
