Bon Iver Announces New Album SABLE, fABLE out April 11th

Bon Iver is back to announce his long-awaited fifth album, SABLE, fABLE, out April 11th via Jagjaguwar.

Billed as Bon Iver’s “epilogue,” SABLE, fABLE follows Justin Vernon’s 2024 EP SABLE, which served as his first new project in five years. The new album opens with SABLE’s sparse, solitary trio of tracks before opening up into fABLE, which features a more vibrant, pop-inspired sound. Vernon produced the album alongside Jim-E Stack; guest contributors also include Danielle Haim, Dijon, and Flock of Dimes.

Bon Iver will offer the first single from SABLE, fABLE, “Everything Is Peaceful Love,” on Friday, February 14th. The track will arrive with a music video directed by John Wilson, best known as the creator and star of HBO’s How To with John Wilson.

Meanwhile, Justin Vernon will take a deep dive into the themes behind SABLE, fABLE with broadcaster and author Kristin Tippett at the upcoming On Air Fest in Brooklyn on February 21st.

Bon Iver also recently contributed to Charli XCX’s Brat and it’s completely different but also still brat remix album last fall, appearing ona re-work of “I think about it all the time” alongside Danielle Haim. Read why we named the track Song of the Week upon release.
