Bob Mould returns with electrifying new single, ‘Here We Go Crazy’

Legendary singer-songwriter Bob Mould has returned with ‘Here We Go Crazy,’ the lead single and title track from his forthcoming album. This marks Mould’s first new studio album in over four years, set to release on March 7 via Granary Music/BMG Records.
‘Here We Go Crazy’ is a rousing, guitar-driven anthem showcasing Mould’s refined style, balancing simplicity and clarity with a bracing, high-energy attack. Produced at Electrical Audio in Chicago and mixed at Tiny Telephone in Oakland, the track features the dynamic backing of drummer Jon Wurster and bassist Jason Narducy. With its vibrant sound, the song captures themes of control, chaos, and the joy of reckless abandon.
Reflecting on the track and its accompanying video, Mould explains:
“I’ve been spending time in the Southern California desert over the past few years, and the video was shot there. Chilly wilderness atop a mountain, expansive vistas below the hills, distant places to escape life’s routines. ‘Going crazy’ can be many different things. The joy of reckless abandon, the uncertainty of the world’s future, the silence of solitude.”
