A New Chapter for the Mexican Caribbean

The MCMF is shaking up the region’s entertainment scene. The festival’s evolution comes after 20 years of success with the Riviera Maya Jazz Festival, which drew in thousands of attendees every year. Now, reimained, this new chapter embraces multiple music genres, moving beyond jazz to appeal to a broader audience. Sting is the perfect artist to kick off this fresh, exciting format.

“This event represents a new era for the Mexican Caribbean,” says Andrés Martínez, General Director of the Quintana Roo Tourism Promotion Council. “In addition to world-class music, we aim to drive growth and promote tourism in the region. The Mexican Caribbean Music Festival helps increase hotel occupancy and solidifies the Riviera Maya as a key cultural and tourist destination for national and international travelers.”

Why Sting? An iconic artist for the inaugural edition

Sting’s performance at the festival is a rare chance to see him live on his STING 3.0 Tour. Fans can expect a mix of his classic hits along with some hidden gems from his extensive catalog. He’ll be joined by his long-time collaborator, guitarist Dominic Miller, and drummer Chris Maas (known for his work with Mumford & Sons and Maggie Rogers).

It’s a once-in-a-lifetime concert that will be a highlight of the year.“Sting’s name alone attracts music lovers from all over the world, and having him perform in Tulum will elevate the entire experience,” says Martínez. “We wanted an artist whose reputation precedes him, someone whose music resonates across generations and genres.”
