I made a New Year vision board last year – it all came true, from visiting Paris to buying a Chanel dress & YSL perfume

Kiersha McKenna, from Northern Ireland, reviewed her vision board dreams against the reality of her 2023.

They say you have to see it to be it – and one woman has proven that visualising your future does pay dividends.

Kiersha McKenna made a vision board for last year filled with images of glamorous women looking up at the Eiffel Tower and relaxing on Parisian balconies.

And when she reviewed her 2023 accomplishments at the start of this year, all of it had become a reality.

Taking to TikTok to share her success, she told her 218k followers: “Your sign to make a vision board for 2024…”

As well as a trip to the French capital city, Kiersha also bought a Chanel dress and received her favourite YSL perfume

The content creator from Northern Ireland isn’t the only social media user to share a video of their vision board manifestations coming to life last year.

Countless fans of the trendy practice have been revealing how they received flashy engagement rings, took trips to dream destinations and grew their career after adding images to a vision board last January.

Canadian blogger Spencer Barbosa reflected how she had posed for an underwear shoot, walked the red carpet in a pink dress and appeared on a billboard – which were all on her board.

Another TikTok user, Kerry Denevan, from California, commented on hers: “Seeing this comparison side-by-side made me emo! This is your sign to make a vision board.”

Her board included a proposal and wedding, relaxing on a yacht and becoming a full-time content creator.

Australian Ella Victoria, on TikTok as @ella_victoriaaa, showed off a flashy diamond engagement ring, a sunset proposal in Greece, a five-week trip to Europe and starting acting classes.

“Some of these side by sides are actually crazy,” she told followers.

“Just goes to show how powerful visualisation is.”

The concept of creating a vision board instead of making New Year’s resolutions has been growing in recent years, with more than 8.1bn posts with the hashtag #visionboard on TikTok alone.

Celebrities and influencers have jumped on the manifesting bandwagon, with Peloton instructor and entrepreneur Robin Arzon sharing a detailed guide to making one with her 1m Instagram followers.

Oprah Winfrey, Beyonce, Katy Perry and Reese Witherspoon have all attributed their ongoing success to the technique, which uses a collage of pictures, words and colours to inspire the creator to bring dreams to life.

People are also hosting vision board parties for friends, with wine and cake as they make a physical representation of what they want out of life.

While the practice might seem woo-woo, there are experts who argue looking at images primes the brain to accept them as possibilities.

This means you are more likely to take action to turn dreams into reality, accepting opportunities and taking risks you might otherwise have run away from.
