TIKTOKER Lizzie Velásquez has revealed that she was recently rushed to hospital with severe health issues.
Getting candid in a new Instagram video and touching caption, the motivational speaker and activist spoke about being “lost in the darkness” recently amid her health woes.
Lizzie, 35, was born with an extremely rare congenital disease called Marfanoid–progeroid–lipodystrophy syndrome.
The disease that she suffers, among other symptoms, prevents her from accumulating body fat and gaining weight.
Sharing a video and lengthy message online, Lizzie explained that she had endured a tough month.
“24 days,” she began the caption, before detailing her recent struggles.
“Since before Christmas I have been in three different hospitals for a combined total of 24 days.
“That’s the longest I’ve been admitted since I was a baby. I was finally able to come home on January 27th,” she revealed.
She concluded the caption by writing: “This is a very vulnerable post but if I can help at least one person, it’s worth it. #chenford #lifeupdate.”
In the video, Lizzie spoke about her new pick line, which is in her arm.
She then said how she has been “dealing with a lot of health issues” noting: “I have quietly been slipping back into that mindset of why am I going to take medicines if I’m just going to keep getting sick.”
LIZZIE’S LOST HER SPARK
Lizzie went on to say “I had this spark and I have lost that spark in many different ways,” after speaking about how great her career had gotten in the past.
She added how she has “completely run out of ways to say it is going to be okay” because she has “just lost that spark”.
Lizzie also said that she has been “lost” before revealing how she will now be more willing to allow people in her life to help her.
She went on to say how she would be committing to starting therapy, and spoke of how she needs someone to listen to her.
Commenting on the video she shared, fans were quick to send their love and support to the social media star.
