T-Swift is a T-Bird — and she is the word!
Taylor Swift’s childhood friend and fellow actor Tobin Mitnick posted a series of throwback photos via Instagram that featured the two starring in a school production of “Grease.”
“Thank you mom for digging these pics of @taylorswift and I harmonizing like buttah on summer nights twenty five years ago out of storage,” the 36-year-old comedian captioned the funny snaps.
He even mentioned the “Lover” singer’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, writing: “Also trav the note is an f-sharp if youre interested. June 2000.”
One photo showcased a preteen Swift, now 34, donning a blond Sandy wig and a black leather look from the 1978 musical.
Another had Mitnick rocking an all-black ensemble and a T-Bird leather jacket while the “Cruel Summer” crooner wore a white jacket and shorts.
The hit romance movie starring John Travolta and the late Olivia Newton-John will always seem to have a place in Swift’s heart, as back in 2016, friend Gigi Hadid posted a clip of the two watching Fox’s “Grease: Live.”
The pair sang along to the ballad “Hopelessly Devoted To You” as they viewed the telecast.
“We’re also performing ‘Grease Live’ in the living room,” the supermodel, 28, happily gushed in the video.
The network’s live broadcast remake of the iconic film starred Aaron Tveit, Julianne Hough, Carlos PenaVega, Vanessa Hudgens and Jordan Fisher.
It was just announced on Feb. 1 that Universal Music Group — the umbrella company responsible for hosting A-lister artists such as Swift, Lady Gaga, Drake, Bad Bunny, Billie Eilish and more on their record labels — has erased their music catalog from TikTok.
Swift’s songs will no longer be accessible on the social media platform. Music has become a big part of the video platform’s growth, with users often putting popular songs in their clips and making certain sounds trend.
UMG alleged that the social media network unfairly pays their singers’ music and the two organizations were unable to come to an agreement for use of the songs.
Universal record labels such as Capitol, Interscope and Republic, as well as their artists, are impacted by the decision.
The group posted an open letter on their website Tuesday that noted that TikTok failed to “fairly compensate our artists and songwriters and treat the user experience with respect.”
TikTok then clapped back with a statement of their own, calling UMG’s note “sad and disappointing.”
They alleged that Universal put its “own greed above the interests of their artists and songwriters.”
Swift’s audios that have gone viral on TikTok in recent months include her hits such as “Blank Space,” “Wonderland,” “Mine” and “All Too Well.”
