MrBeast and the FaZe Clan crew made a secret Twitch account and set up a $10,000 reward for the first person in the world to find it.
No stranger to handing out cash prizes for crazy challenges, MrBeast’s latest effort saw him teaming up with FaZe as they all hid a secretive Twitch channel in the depths of the IRL category.
Together, the team of MrBeast, StableRonaldo, Kaysan, Silky, Lacy, and JasonTheWeen started up a brand new Twitch account. The idea was to stream from the mysterious new channel, and the first viewer to find them organically would be handed a nifty $10,000.
Of course, the viewer couldn’t be anyone they knew personally, and none of the social media stars were able to drop hints or tease their fanbase in any way, shape, or form. While they were on the verge of giving up after hours of no luck, a buzzer-beater at the final horn saw one lucky fan take out the cash prize.
MrBeast & FaZe hide new Twitch channel with $10,000 prize
As any aspiring content creator would know, it’s not the easiest thing in the world to begin growing an audience. It often involves being timely on trends, playing the hottest new video games, and collaborating with others on the platform too.
Even if you’re the most subscribed personality on YouTube, there’s no shortcut to success on Twitch, at least if you’re not plugging it and directing traffic over.
Giving themselves just two hours, MrBeast and the FaZe crew first asked ChatGPT to give them account name ideas. They soon settled on ‘QuantumSnacks.’
Sitting in the IRL category, at the very bottom of it, mind you, the gang set a generic title and got to work on some reaction content. That didn’t do the trick, zero viewers all the way through. Next was to try a few party games but alas, no success here either. Not even a mukbang could draw a single viewer to the newly created channel.
From there, they took to the streets, hoping to find a MrBeast or FaZe Clan fan out in LA and have them directly search for the broadcast. As they soon learned, however, not even this was quite as simple as they thought. The only ‘viewer’ that came in was a bot account suggesting they pay to increase viewership illegitimately.
After changing the channel title to now include FaZe Clan, MrBeast, and the fact that $10,000 was on the line, the crew headed to a nearby In-N-Out.
The YouTube superstar was quickly swarmed by fans. Not so much the FaZe gang. Although some avid fans tried to search for the still-live Twitch channel, they had no luck, none were able to find the mysterious QuantumSnacks.
When nearly two hours had passed, they were getting set to take a thumbnail picture for a second video to be filmed at a later time. In the midst of the shoot, they got their first actual message in chat.
A random fan in an apartment across the street just so happened to hear them, searched as best he could, and eventually landed in the right place. After verifying it was indeed him, MrBeast declared the young fan the winner and assured $10,000 would be sent to his parents.
This lucky fan was the first to scrub the depths of Twitch and find the newly created channel.
The now not-so-secret Twitch channel boasts 642 followers at the time of writing, but it’s entirely likely it never goes live again.
