YouTube star Jimmy ‘MrBeast’ Donaldson sent a number of Feastables trucks to Hershey Chocolate’s headquarters with a message inspired by Kendrick Lamar.
Last year, Kendrick Lamar and Drake went head-to-head in one of the biggest rap feuds to date. The pair dropped a number of songs on each other with increasingly personal shots thrown on them. In the end, Kendrick was crowned the winner as his hit ‘Not Like Us’ was basically a knockout blow.
As the name says, the diss track is about putting distance between you and a rival, doubling down on any and all claims you’re making against them. It has become a global hit and is regularly used to take shots at others in different trends.
Well, it even inspired MrBeast and Feastables to take a swipe at Hershey as they sent a message directly to the chocolate giant.
MrBeast’s Feastables takes big shot at Hershey’s
That’s right, on April 17, the YouTube star and his Feastables brand sent trucks to Hershey, Pennsylvania, with the ‘Not Like Us’ lyric front and center.
In one photo, which MrBeast posted himself, three advertising trucks were sitting outside Hershey’s museum too.
And, to make things even more personal, they had Hershey-esque branding on them while promoting Feastables too.
Some fans questioned the shot at Hershey, given their size. “I’m sure Hershey is shaking in their boots Jimmy. Not like they have a whole theme park there or anything,” one replied. “Won’t even garner a response,” another added.
While some influencer-backed products have been a flash in the pan, Donaldson is serious about Feastables.
Back in February, the YouTube star revealed that he wants to combat the “unethical s*it” and child labor that happens in the chocolate industry. He also claimed that Feastables is the “only big American chocolate company” to ethically source its cocoa.
