A new wave of LeBron James song remixes has taken TikTok by storm, sparking a viral trend that’s dominating For You Pages everywhere.
These remixes, known as ‘LeBron Glazing’ tracks, replace the lyrics of iconic songs with exaggerated praise and humorous commentary about the basketball legend.
What started as a niche joke has quickly spiraled into a viral phenomenon on TikTok, inspiring meme-worthy content and even a parody app called Bronify.
Origin of Lebron Glazing remixes
The trend began on March 5, 2025, when TikToker itsokayspade posted the ‘LeBron Song,’ an audio track dedicated to praising LeBron James.
Accompanied by a caption about struggling to write lyrics that weren’t about LeBron, the video amassed over 750,100 likes. Its catchy sound inspired others to join in on the fun.
On March 14, content creator .ilyaugust contributed to the trend with ‘The LeBron That I Used to Know,’ a parody of Gotye’s hit song. The remix humorously highlighted LeBron’s achievements, receiving over 2.8 million views.
Later that day, .ilyaugust shared another remix, this time parodying Tamar Braxton’s ‘Let Me Know,’ with lyrics like, “Did you know that LeBron glazing is more than a hobby?”
Other TikTokers followed suit, producing remixes like ‘The Man on the Lakers’ (a parody of Michael Jackson’s ‘Man in the Mirror’) and ‘That’s Bron’ (a nod to ‘That’s Life’). These edits racked up millions of views and quickly became a hallmark of TikTok’s signature chaotic and brainrot humor.
Launch of Bronify app
On March 19, fans of the trend launched Bronify, a parody app on Vercel mimicking Spotify. It housed all the LeBron remixes, offering a hilarious “streaming” experience.
Although the app was quickly removed, it inspired additional content, with skits like chuchington’s ‘Bronify ad’ gaining tens of thousands of likes.
The LeBron remix trend continues to thrive, turning the basketball star into an unlikely musical muse across TikTok.
It’s just one of the many trends popping off on TikTok in 2025, alongside the bizarre ‘Shoebody Bop’ meme and the ‘Price Tag’ craze.
