KFC has introduced a new limited-time drink in partnership with Mountain Dew: Sweet Lightning Peaches & Cream.
The beverage, which launched nationwide on June 9, 2025, is an updated twist on the original Sweet Lightning flavor first released in 2019. The new version adds a creamy vanilla flavor to the familiar peach and honey base, turning it into a “dirty soda”, a nod to the viral TikTok trend of mixing soda with syrups and cream.
The Peaches & Cream version is available with or without a swirl of vanilla cream and is being marketed as a summer-exclusive, while supplies last.
The launch is part of KFC’s larger summer promotion campaign, which also includes a tie-in with the upcoming Brad Pitt-led “F1: The Movie” and the return of the popular $7 Fill Ups meal deal. That deal includes a choice of one of four value meals: two-piece drum and thigh, three tenders, chicken sandwich, or Famous Bowl, each served with mashed potatoes and a biscuit.
Mountain Dew, meanwhile, is continuing its streak of fast-food collaborations. In past years, the soda brand has launched exclusive flavors like Baja Cabo Citrus Blast at Taco Bell and Mango Gem at Little Caesars.
KFC and Mountain Dew have not announced an end date for the promotion, but the drink is expected to be available only through the summer or until supplies run out.
In other KFC news, they just released a fashion collection named “Gravy Drip”, which includes a jacket costing a whopping $1,900.
