I’m Mrs Inked UK and there’s three parts of your body to never get tattooed – you’ll live in regret and be unemployed

Crissie advises against getting visible tattoos

TATTOOS can be a big commitment and sometimes people regret the ones they had when they were younger.

This is why TikTok user Crissie Walker, aka @mrsinkeduk on TikTok, has made a video advising against getting inked in three key areas on your body.

In her video, which has 1.2m view, she said she didn’t want to sound like a “boring mum” but believes it’s not always positively received if someone has tattoos on their face and neck.

She explained: “As someone who is heavily tattooed I’m telling the younger generation: do not get tattooed where you can see them.

“Don’t do it.

“Because let me tell you, I gave no flying… at your age, I really didn’t.”

Crissie says when she was young she wanted to be “completely different” and “rebel against society,” but age has given her perspective.

“I’m thankful that I am not heavily tattooed so that people can see them.

“Because let me tell you it will stop you from getting a job – yes, that is discriminative and I do not deny that.

“But first appearances do count.”

She continues: “Do not get your neck, hands, and face tattooed before the rest of your body.”

The influencer, who has over 130k followers on the platform, tells viewers to think “smart and logically” about getting body art.

“You might not give a s*** now but in 20 years time you will do.

“Don’t get a tattoo until you know exactly what you wanna do – and you don’t know what you’re doing in your 20s,” she concludes.

Crissie isn’t the only one who believes you should be careful about the tattoos you get.

Tattoo artist Javan spoke exclusively to Fabulous in 2022 about the designs he views as “tacky” and the ones he would refuse to do.

He said: “Jesus Christ, it’s always guys…Guys come with ‘Only God can judge me’ with praying hands.

“Things like that – I will keep away from […] and not compromise my craft.”

Talking about the tattoo trends he’s not keen on including a butterfly on the lower back (combined with low-rise jeans), a partner’s name, or a dreamcatcher.

Talking about indecisiveness when it comes to what you want to get, Javan said: “People are people, they’re just people-ing.

“They’re very indecisive, it can get quite tricky as an artist – […] I think a lot of the times people just do things in the spur of the moment.

“If they’re coming across as a bit indecisive, I’ll be like ‘We can wait for this piece if you’re not 100 per cent sure’.”
