MOTHER-DAUGHTER relationships can be difficult at the best of times, with petty arguments over what your wearing, chores and even who you are dating.
One woman, however, has revealed that she has had to get a matching tattoo with her mum removed – after she had an affair with the influencer’s husband.
For those that aren’t on Tiktok, you might have missed Katherine’s horrifying family drama.

Posting under the username @Katenacious, she first shared her shocking story as part of a trend on the social media app which had people retold their craziest stories.
Her video initially went viral late last year, with the US woman revealing that other family members had noticed some ‘odd behaviour’ between her mum and her husband.
Heartbreakingly, she only uncovered the truth whilst she was looking after her infant twin daughters.
After video calling her husband, she noticed that her other half wasn’t working in the area to he said he had been and there was a woman’s voice in background.
Convinced it was her mother’s, the Idaho woman asked her sister about this – which is when the truth finally came out about the four-month long affair.
The shocking truth caused Katherine leave the family home with her daughters, with her mother moving into the former family home just hours after she left.
To make matters even worse, her hubby and mum ‘played house’ for several months and even considered getting married – all whilst the content creator tried to pick up the pieces of her broken life.
Having been betrayed by the ones she loved most the Tiktoker quickly divorced her husband and cut contact with her mum.
This wasn’t enough for the Tiktok star though, who has also decided to get the matching tattoo she gotten with her mother removed.
Proudly sharing a before and after of the offending body art, she revealed that the heart shaped tattoo had mostly faded but the removal was taking far longer than expected.
Her first session had been in March 2022 but the tattoo was still slightly visible after 15 appointments.
After filming her latest appointment, Katherine admitted that she still felt nervous before every session because of the pain.
Even after applying numbing cream and blasts of cold air on her skin, the content creator revealed that the pain was an ‘eight out of ten’.
Though fans had suggested that she get the unwanted body art covered with a new tattoo, Katherine had a very good reason why she wanted the heart removed.

“For me, personally, doing a cover up would be like putting a band aid over this and I don’t want a band aid over this…” she explained, adding: “I don’t want a band aid, I want it gone.”
“Plus the pain of tattoo removal still doesn’t hurt as much as knowing that your husband is *ing your mom’s toaster strudel,” she joked.
In the caption, she then quipped that she used ‘dark humour’ to cope with the fallout of the affair.
Showing how red and inflamed her skin was after the treatment, it progressively got worse as the hours went by.
Despite the pain, we definitely think the result will be worth it.
