Emiru confronts stalker as disturbing behavior toward streamers increases

Emiru confronted a fan who approached her and Extra Emily while they were eating at a restaurant amid a concerning increase in invasive behavior toward Twitch streamers.

Emiru is a popular streamer on Twitch, where she boasts 1.7M followers who tune in for her creative cosplay streams and gaming broadcasts.

Emiru, like many other streamers, occasionally takes viewers along for trips outside her home… but sometimes, these travels can result in uncomfortable interactions with overzealous fans.

Twitch star Emiru tells fan to leave in uncomfortable interaction

On Monday, March 31, Emiru linked up with fellow streamer ExtraEmily to eat a bite at LeRoy and Lewis Barbecue in Austin, Texas when they were approached by a man off-screen who appeared to take a photo with flash of the two influencers.

Emiru was quick to confront the person, telling him that he needed to leave, and asked Emily to mute her camera.

“Bro, you need to leave,” Emiru said. “I’m sorry. You need to leave. …You need to stop doing this.”

In response, the man said, “I was never here,” before Emily was able to successfully mute the broadcast.

This is the second time this has happened to Emiru in the last few days, as another person approached her during a March 20 broadcast and attempted to flirt with her.

During the stream, Emiru and some fellow influencers ran a diner together, encouraging their fans to stop by… but one customer began awkwardly shooting his shot with Emiru, saying what he wanted from the menu was “you by my side” when she was taking his order. He was promptly escorted out of the restaurant.

Eventually, Emily unmuted the stream and their ‘Michelin Monday’ food review stream went on as normal — but this is far from the first time a female content creator has had to put her foot down around poorly-behaved fans.

In fact, Emiru was involved in a shocking incident with Valkyrae and Cinna earlier in March when a man threatened to kill them and started swinging at the trio during a broadcast at California’s Santa Monica Pier.

The next day, Valkyrae explained that she and her friends were forced to hide in a shed for fifteen minutes until law enforcement officers arrived on the scene, saying she’s doing everything in her power to “catch” the man.

Around that same time, Twitch streamer Amouranth was pistol-whipped by masked robbers who broke into her home and demanded the contents of her $20M crypto wallet in a disturbing trend of increasingly aggressive behavior toward female streamers both inside and outside their homes.
