Dylan Efron came into season three of The Traitors as a reality TV novice, the level-headed heartthrob in a Scottish castle of main characters and mischief-makers. But after weeks of backroom deals, grueling banishments, and one particularly memorable clash with Bob the Drag Queen, the younger Efron brother emerged last night as a winner (well, one of four), outlasting the traitors alongside his fellow faithful Gabby Windey, Dolores Catania, and Lord Ivar Mountbatten. Along the way, the former triathlete, who can often be found sweaty and shirtless on his YouTube and Instagram pages, evolved from the boy next door into a certified and tactful game player, more than holding his own at several of the show’s most intense roundtables. To celebrate, we were waiting for him in the winner’s circle to administer this week’s Rorschach Test, where the 33-year-old sounded off on co-star Carolyn Wiger, the new-look L.A. Lakers, and a series of health and wellness trends, from creatine to manscaping.

SCOTLAND
“As a country, I’m sure it’s beautiful, but our experience was so shitty. I think it rained 28 of the 30 days. So while I can’t say that it’s my favorite place, I do want to go back and actually experience it when I’m not quarantined in a castle.”

CREATINE
“I’m all about the creatine. Some people have bad reactions, but the majority should be taking five milligrams a day. It helps muscle recovery, it helps you get stronger, it supposedly helps your brain, even.”

JOCKSTRAPS
“I think at that point you might as well just freeball.”

LUKA DONČIĆ
“The best news for the Lakers in like, 10 years. I’m so ready for this next chapter. I think this is the closest feeling to being a Kobe Bryant fan. We’ve got someone that can hit that buzzer beater and that’s just so fun to watch.”

CAROLYN WIGER
“We had so many heart to hearts. Every couple days we would just spill each other’s guts and I’d end up in tears. You’re not going to meet another Carolyn Wiger. I was loyal to her for eight episodes, but once I realized she was a traitor, it was all game play.”

IRON MAN
“Brutal. I was obsessed. I think I was in the top 1% of my age group when I was 26, so I really went full on into that world. I had to sacrifice other things I love because I’m training three hours a day. But it’s a fun journey to prove to yourself what you’re capable of.”

MANSCAPING
“I love road trips, camping, getting dirty. Like, I don’t need to shower for a week. But when I’m home and in civilized life, I’m manscaping. I want to be clean. I think us guys need to stay on top of that shit. But I’m not doing any landing strips.”

ALAN CUMMING
“He is such a professional. There are two Alan Cummings that I know: the one that I went to the after party with, who just can’t stop smiling and is so personable to everyone he meets, and then there’s Alan Cumming on the show, who is intimidating, says his lines, and is not there to hold our hands. And you better listen, otherwise we’re going to be in trouble.”

LEG DAY
“Leg day is super important. I think that’s a mistake that everybody messes up, because you want to look big up top, but the key to that is working out your legs. Do your squats. Work those legs and calves.”
———
TURNING 30
“My thirties are where I’ve thrived, really. In my twenties, I was still figuring it all out. But your thirties is really the time when you’re comfortable with yourself. It’s the best time of my life so far.”
———
LIARS
“In The Traitors, it’s okay. In real life, it’s not a good trait.”
———
DICK PICS
“Look, girls are beautiful. I don’t think guys are in that same way. Like, you can have a very expensive piece of art of a woman’s body because it’s beautiful. But I don’t want to see a big dick on my wall.”

TOM SANDOVAL’S SINGING
“He can sing forward, he can sing backwards, and if you give him a mic, he will sing any chance he can get. At the reunion he was like, Yeah, I could kind of get the vibe that no one else wanted to sing, so I had to step up. I was like, Tom, that’s not true. You volunteered before Alan finished his sentence.”
———
EREWHON
“Big fan of the hot bar. But if you shop for groceries there, you’re a psychopath.”
———
CHILD STARDOM
“Child stardom was not for me. The world we live in is so hostile and we’re so quick to cut people down. In general, I think we need to give people that have been in stardom from a young age more grace. Like the Justin Biebers of the world, and my brother—anyone that’s been at a high level at a young age, they’re still figuring it out.”
