Originally released in June 2015 under their original band name, Are You Satisfied? returns in August under the name Soft Play and with a whole host of new material to support the beloved original album. The expanded tenth anniversary edition includes a collection of B-sides, a demo of “Tricky,” songs from their Sugar Coated Bitter Truth EP, and a recording of their BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge cover of Skepta’s “Shutdown.”

When Are You Satisfied? debuted, Soft Play had already gained notoriety as a live act, but exceeded their own expectations when they stepped into the recording booth. The album was a top 10 hit in their native United Kingdom, and earned a nomination for the Mercury Prize. “Ten years since we released our debut album. Are You Satisfied? took us places we never dreamed were reachable and it was the foundation our career was built upon,” says guitarist Laurie Vincent in a press release. “It only feels right to re-issue it with our new improved name.”

Ten years on, Soft Play has continued to find success, releasing two more top ten albums in the 2010s and touring the globe, including notable sets at world-famous festivals like Coachella and Glastonbury. This summer, Soft Play will perform at a variety of European festivals before embarking on a headlining United States tour in September. They also have performances planned with IDLES, Slipknot, The Libertines, and Cage The Elephant. Their most recent album Heavier Jelly, an expanded version of 2024’s Heavy Jelly, arrived this past April. Heavy Jelly debuted at number 3 on the British charts, the band’s highest debut yet.
