Shinedown's New Songs "Three Six Five" and "Dance, Kid, Dance"

Shinedown have unveiled the new singles “Three Six Five” and “Dance, Kid, Dance,” the band’s first new songs in nearly three years.

The new songs come just days after Shinedown announced their “Dance, Kid, Dance Tour,” a two-leg headlining 2025 US outing featuring support from Beartooth and Bush (pick up tickets here).

“We needed to approach everything different this time,” stated singer Brent Smith of the new tunes. “The last two albums were both conceptual so it was important for us to really ask ourselves creatively where do we want to go. The answer to that was we want to go everywhere so there was no specific direction. We just started writing, and let the new songs guide us.”

He added, “I also think we stopped saying ‘why’ and started saying ‘why not?’ When we were thinking about touring, we had certain artists in mind. Instead of being of the mindset that they wouldn’t want to come out to tour with us, we just asked them — and they said yes. Honestly, it’s quite humbling, we are extremely excited for this new chapter, and tour. SO LET’S GO!!!!”

“Three Six Five” and “Dance, Kid, Dance” mark Shinedown’s first new songs since their 2022 album, Planet Zero. The band currently holds the record for the most No. 1 songs on the Mainstream Rock singles tally with a whopping 19 chart-toppers, and could add to that total with either one of these new tracks.

As of now, Shinedown have not revealed any details about a new album, but a press releases teases “be on the lookout for more news on Shinedown soon!”
