This year’s Newport Folk Festival delivered no shortage of memorable moments across its stages, from Hayley Williams’ surprise appearance at Jack Antonoff and Bleachers’ headlining set to Geese frontman Cameron Winters’ stunning piano-in-a-field performance. But one of Newport’s greatest charms is that artists rarely just play their set and jet — they often linger all weekend, mingling backstage with Folk Family and fellow musicians, awaiting their next sit-in appearance.
