Cleveland death metal band Abraded were joined by an enthusiastic young fan during their set at the recent Obscene Extreme Fest in Trutnov, Czech Republic.
The band was in the middle of a song — and a particularly gnarly section of high-pitch guitar squeals — when all of a sudden a little kid ran out from stage right. He darted across the stage, taking everyone by surprise, before being ushered back to the side by a stage hand.
Clearly loving it and unfazed by Abraded’s brand of extreme metal, the kid was quick to make his stage-long sprint again, and this time no one stopped him. He even sidled up next to the guitarist to dance and play some air drums. At this point the singer of Abraded noticed the kid onstage and shot him a concerned look and a shake of the head.
Nobody seemed to mind as the young metalhead made a couple more passes across the stage with his arms reared back, these runs resembling the kind of moves you might see during a wild circle pit. Thankfully the kid was unencumbered by anyone or any equipment/cables and was wearing hearing protection, so it was all safe fun.
Funny enough, we reported on a toddler taking the stage at the same Czech metal festival back in 2021. The age and appearance seem to suggest it might be the same kid. If so, he’s got a career as a frontman ahead of him with those stage antics.
