Linkin Park have released an a cappella version of their 2024 album From Zero, highlighting the isolated vocals from Mike Shinoda and new singer Emily Armstrong.
The a cappella edition comes two months after the release of From Zero, which marked Linkin Park’s first album in seven years, and first since the tragic death of singer Chester Bennington. It also arrives ahead of the band’s massive 2025 world tour, which includes two North American legs (pick up tickets here).
The a cappella versions of the From Zero songs showcase the interplay between Shinoda and Armstrong, who delivers an earth-shattering scream at the 1:25 mark of the song “Heavy Is the Crown” (as highlighted in the Instagram post below).
From Zero debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart upon its release in November, while the singles “The Emptiness Machine” and “Heavy Is the Crown” hit No. 1 and No. 2 on the Mainstream Rock chart, respectively.
In addition to Shinoda and Armstrong, Linkin Park’s touring lineup includes classic members Joe Hahn (turntables) and Dave “Phoenix” Farrell (bass) along with new members Colin Brittain (drums) and Alex Feder (guitars). Original guitarist Brad Delson appears on the album, but has opted not to tour with the band.
