Good Charlotte stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Thursday, August 7th, to perform “I Don’t Work Here Anymore,” a song from their brand new album Motel Du Cap.
Performing alongside a string section, Good Charlotte gave “I Don’t Work Here Anymore” its world premiere on Fallon. Benji and Joel Madden both swapped vocals on the track and frequently sang in harmony, while the band performed an earnest, emotive rendition of the song. “I Don’t Work Here Anymore” finds the Madden brothers rejecting an employer and refusing to work, because “life’s too short”: “I’ll never be like you, so keep your uniform,” they sing in the chorus.
