Dolly Parton headlined the halftime show of the Washington Commanders and Dallas Cowboys’ Thanksgiving game.
The legendary singer, who turns 78 years young in January, served up a thrilling performance that included her own classics “Jolene” and “9 to 5” as well as covers of Queen’s “We Are the Champions” and “We Will Rock You” in support of her new rock album, Rockstar.
Parton also dressed for the occasion by wearing the Cowboys cheerleaders’ signature outfit.
Read our recent cover story with Parton conducted by Hayley Williams of Paramore. Also check out Williams’ own letter on the lessons she learned from Parton, plus words of praise from Parton’s Rockstar collaborators, including Debbie Harry, Simon Le Bon, and Pat Benatar.
If that weren’t enough, Parton was a recent guest on Kyle Meredith With.., where she discussed her debut rock album, classic costumes, and trying to reunite Led Zeppelin.
