Chevelle Release New Song “Rabbit Hole (Cowards, Pt. 1)”

Chevelle have released the single “Rabbit Hole (Cowards, Pt. 1),” their first new song in four years.

The track arrives on the heels of a major North American tour announcement, as the alt-metal band is set to head out on a headlining trek with support from Asking Alexandria and Dead Poet Society this summer. Dates kick off in August, with tickets available here.

Chevelle bust out gnarled guitar riffs on the new single, a four-minute slow-burn that builds to a crushing metallic breakdown. Singer-guitarist Pete Loeffler’s unwavering falsetto is in full flight throughout, projecting lyrics about modern internet-fueled paranoia.

“How about we all put on our tinfoil hats, slam a Dunkies, and go deep doomscrolling,” stated the band in a press release. “If that sounds like your sorta thing, we’ve got a new song for you called ‘Rabbit Hole (Cowards, Pt. 1). Enjoy.”

Chevelle’s last album was 2021’s NIRATIAS, which was lauded as a return to form for the long-running Chicago act. The band inked a deal with Alchemy Recordings last year, with a new album expected sometime in 2025.
