Jennifer Lopez, Ben Affleck’s Marriage Plagued By ‘Deeper Issues’

According to a new report, the Hollywood power couple’s marriage is actually suffering from “deeper issues.”

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck recently marked their second wedding anniversary apart from each other, which comes as a surprise given that they went over and above to celebrate it last year.

Amid rumors of an “imminent” divorce between Affleck and Lopez, a source has claimed that the duo’s relationship faces issues unrelated to their status or fame.

“The idea that Ben thinks Jennifer is too famous and that he didn’t know what he was getting into with the attention on their marriage isn’t true,” the source told People magazine, adding, “There are deeper issues.”

There were reports that Affleck could not handle the pressure that came with being in a relationship with Lopez due to her popularity. The actor himself admitted during an interview that he was surprised by his wife’s fame, calling it “bananas.”

He said, “We get out with her, all the kids, through Times Square, and the sh-t was like f-ckin’ bananas… Then we’ve got our five kids, it’s me and Jen and what feels like hundreds of people, and they’re all screaming.”

The new report comes after a source told Ok Magazine that despite Lopez being Affleck’s “dream woman,” their marriage was filled with “drama all the time,” which contrasts with the “Batman” star’s preference for a quieter life.

“He’s feeling down about it and is upset and depressed it didn’t work out, even though he knows ending it is the right thing to do,” the insider claimed.

They continued, “Jennifer has a big entourage that follows her around daily — glam squad, videographers, photographers, assistants, trainers,” and that Affleck wasn’t used to constantly having so many people around him.

According to the source, Lopez tried to make Affleck see that being her is a “24/7 job” compared to how easy it is for him to “leave his work at the door if he chooses to.”

The “Jenny From The Block” singer was seen leaving the Equinox gym in the Hamptons on Thursday in the company of her manager, Benny Medina. The versatile entertainer flaunted her washboard abs under a white bralette, which sat firmly on her muscular back with crisscrossing straps.

She paired the look with mauve sweatpants, which she wore low to show off her toned midriff.

The singer also carried one of her customized water bottles with her as she made her way to the sleek gray Mercedes convertible in which she and Medina had arrived. Her hair was styled back into a bun, and she completed the sporty look with silver hoop earrings and white boxy sunglasses.

According to reports, the 54-year-old performer had a ring on when she arrived at the luxury gym, although it didn’t appear to be the pricy engagement ring her husband gave to her.

Lopez’s impressive display of her abs and ripped physique comes at a time when her marriage to the “Argo” actor is reportedly facing challenges, making her dedication to her fitness routine all the more admirable.

The pair continue to spend time apart as she has been staying in the high-brow New York enclave while Affleck remains in L.A. A source recently told Us Weekly that they’re “going through so much individually and as a couple,” adding that they’re most likely going to “take some time to see if this complicated moment can resolve itself and they come back to each other [as] better people.”

Weeks before she went on vacation to Europe, Affleck moved out of their $60 million marital home, which they’re reportedly “in a rush” to sell after placing it on the market for an asking price of $68 million.

He continues to stay in a $100,000-a-month Brentwood rental home near his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.

The “Hustlers” actress and the “Good Will Hunting” star recently marked their second wedding anniversary apart.

The special day was unlike their first anniversary in July last year, which they celebrated with a lunch date at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica. Lopez wore a Valentino minidress and silver heels, while Affleck was dressed in an all-black ensemble.

This time around, the embattled couple settled for a low-key celebration as Lopez was spotted enjoying a bike ride around the Hamptons, although she had her wedding ring on. On the other hand, Affleck was dressed up in a suit at his L.A. office, carrying a black travel bag.
