LADY GAGA is going all out to make sure her comeback is as epic as ever.
I can reveal the Bad Romance singer enlisted choreographer Parris Goebel, who masterminded Rihanna’s 2023 Superbowl performance, for the video for her new single Disease, which will be out on Friday.
The clip, which was shot earlier this year, is headed up by Ukrainian director Tanu Muino, who previously directed Dua Lipa’s Illusion.
It comes after Gaga reached a new peak of a staggering 107.7 million monthly listeners on Spotify – and ahead of the charts on Friday where she is already fighting for No1 with her Bruno Mars duet Die With A Smile.
On Disease, she sings: “Breathe me in, let me stay.
“I’ll take your pain, let you fade away.
“Your pulse is racing can’t you see?
“I’m the cure, you’re the need.”
She later adds: “I could play the doctor.
“I can cure your disease.
“If you were a sinner, I could make you believe.
“Lay you down like 1, 2, 3.”
The track is understood to have been co-produced with Cirkut who previously worked on Katy Perry’s Dark Horse and Miley Cyrus’ Wrecking Ball.
Earlier this year she admitted it was her fiance Michael Polansky who inspired her to go back to pop.
She recalled: “He was like, ‘Babe. I love you. You need to make pop music.’”
Thank you, Michael.
Getting on like Billie-o, Madge
MADONNA has long been a Billie Eilish fan, and now the chart-toppers have met.
Madge took daughters Stella and Estere to see Billie sing in New York, and posted a snap with her on Insta.
The Queen of Pop defended Billie when she was trolled by dim internet sad acts after changing her look for her Happier Than Ever album cover.
She said: “Billie started off in a non-sexualised category, not pandering to the masses and not using her sexuality, which is her choice.
“Women should be able to portray themselves any way they want.”
Hear, hear.
Claw blimey Megan
MEGAN THEE STALLION has surely nailed her upcoming new album – and showed off some impressive fingernails too.
The US rapper dazzled in a slinky black dress with a thigh-split after announcing the release this Friday of Megan: Act II – a follow-up to her self-titled record that came out in June.
The three-time Grammy winner was pictured on the red carpet at a New York awards bash.
She has been a busy lady of late, as she also recently completed her upcoming documentary Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words, which will debut on Prime Video on October 31.
The project is being kept top-secret, with no one in the industry allowed to see it before it’s release – so I expect it will be explosive.
Shawn set for MTV gig
RAYE and Shawn Mendes will be among the acts to perform at next month’s MTV EMAs.
The chart-topping artists will take to the stage at Manchester’s Co-op Live for the annual bash, alongside Teddy Swims, Benson Boone and rising Mexican rock band The Warning.
I told earlier this month how Rita Ora is expected to host the bash on November 10, but there will also be some extra-special guest presenters.
Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, hunky actors Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Lucien Laviscount and British actress Jodie Turner-Smith will help to hand out the awards.
It’s going to be a big night and Bizarre will bring you all the action.
HITS Radio has created a special documentary charting the rise of Dua Lipa.
A Radical Return celebrates the star’s stellar year so far and features yours truly looking back at Dua’s incredible Glastonbury set, where she invited us on to a platform with her family and friends to watch the show.
The docu airs at 9pm on Thursday and is hosted by Hits Radio DJ Mary Mandefield.
Blessed by Kylie colab
THE BLESSED MADONNA’s album Godspeed only came out on Friday but the American DJ is already working on the follow-up.
The acclaimed producer said: “It’s album time but I’m always sort of working on the next thing.”
In an exclusive chat, she also opened up about working with Kylie Minogue on their collab Edge Of Saturday Night, which is on the record.
She said: “We’re friends now.
“She’s Kiki in my world.”
On whether she’d tried Kylie’s hit wine brand, she joked: “I’d drink her bathwater, for what it’s worth.
“I mean, what can’t she do?
“She probably turned water into wine just by breathing on it.”
And asked if she thinks they’ll collaborate again, she added: “I would do anything she wanted, so yes I do.”
Chris – Is it no ta Dakota after all?
SPECULATION about the status of Chris Martin’s romance with Dakota Johnson has been swirling for weeks after insiders claimed the pair have called off their engagement.
But the Coldplay frontman isn’t taking the gossip to heart and looked pleased as punch in my exclusive snaps as he went to watch Charli XCX at The Forum in LA with a female pal.
Back in August, reps for Dakota hit back at claims they’d broken up and insisted she was still with the British superstar.
Since then the pair haven’t been seen together and their reps have gone cold when we’ve asked whether they’re on or off.
Either they’re bored with the rumours, or there really is trouble in paradise . . .
Elt: Come on Nova
ROCK duo the Nova Twins – aka Amy Love and Georgia South – have been telling me how stunned they were after Sir Elton John summoned them to his dressing room at Glastonbury last summer.
In an exclusive chat, Amy said: “He called after we played The Other Stage.
“Someone was like, ‘A car’s waiting to take you to the Pyramid Stage. Elton wants to meet you before his Glasto set’.
“We went to the Pyramid Stage and there was Slash and Debbie Harry.
“We were just a bit like, ‘What the f*** is going on here?’
“It’s 20 minutes until he’s due on stage and he’s chatting away.
“He’s so lovely as well.”
The girls said they have just finished their next album, which is out next year, and Georgia added: “We kind of write how we feel at the time, we don’t overthink it.”
That’s my motto in life.
