Decker has a busy schedule, which means she has to put on makeup a lot. However, she tells Today that she likes to keep her skin natural on her free days. “Every day, I just put on a tinted moisturizer — I like the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer with a little bit of illuminator. Typically, I don’t really wear makeup when I’m not working, just ’cause it’s too much. I always feel like there’s dirt on my face. As soon as we’re done here, I’m going to wipe it off.”
Decker makes sure to eat healthy. She revealed some of her favorite foods to Parade. “I have coffee first thing in the morning,” she says. “I drink a lot of coffee! When I get hungry, I’ll have a slice of toast with salted butter. For lunch, I’ll make something. I make a lot of turkey chili or lentil soup this time of year. In the spring and summer, it’s a chicken salad. I usually always cook dinner. Last night, I made a big family meal of bolognese with fresh arugula salad with homemade dressing and tomatoes.”
Decker opened up about her fitness to Parade. She says that, while she tries to workout as often as she can, she also says that she needs to take breaks from it. “I have weeks where I am super fired-up about exercising, where I’m working out 3 times a week,” she explains. “I’m really big on listening to your body. You know when your body needs an extra exercise session or if you need to rest.”
When it comes to her diet and eating healthy, Decker wants to stay informed. “I always want to educate myself on new studies and new things that come around,” she tells Parade, “Recently, I’ve learned about food colors and dyes, and how your body can’t process or break them down. But I’m big on being intuitive and paying attention to what works and what doesn’t work.”
Decker says to Parade that she believes in moderation when it comes to her diet. “As far as food goes and diet, everything in moderation. You can eat a chocolate chip cookie and have bread when it’s in your bread basket. Food is conversation, and the heart of the home in my opinion.”
