Clairo has released “Nomad,” a new single from her upcoming third album, Charm.
The album opener, “Nomad” welcomes listeners to a new era for Clairo built from the same solid sense of songcraft that’s made up her discography. Over a mid-tempo, lo-fi beat, she delivers lyrics like “I’m cynical, a mess/ I’m touch-starved and shameless,” musing on vulnerability and human connection. Throughout, gently-plucked acoustics and upright bass countermelodies color the track with a warm, ‘70s-y feel.
“Nomad” is the second song to arrive from Charm (itself out July 12th), following May’s release “Sexy to Someone.” Stream the new single below.
Charm is the latest full-length release from Clairo, following 2021’s Sling. The new album was recorded in New York, and was co-produced by Clario with Leon Michels of The Dap-Kings. Pre-orders are ongoing.
Meanwhile, Clairo will support Charm with two five-date residencies this September — one at The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles and another at Webster Hall in New York City. Grab tickets here.
