Since reaching mainstream success in the late nineties, Travis Barker has cemented himself as one of the most popular drummers on the planet, particularly in the punk and hip-hop scenes. He’s now venturing further into electronic music for a new cover of Fred again.. and Baby Keem’s recent collaboration, “leavemealone.”
Barker brings the track, which was co-produced by Skrillex and Four Tet, to life at a blistering pace with his masterful drumming filled with plenty of stick flips that make his work look effortless, even though that’s far from the truth.
The new cover should come as no surprise to fans considering the legendary blink-182 drummer has crossed over into the dance music realm many times in his career. He’s recently lent his percussion talents to ILLENIUM, Marshmello and his longtime friend Steve Aoki. Aside from the more recent releases, he also was one-half of TRV$DJAM, an electronic-inspired collaborative project with the late DJ AM.
