Toro y Moi Announces New Album Hole Erth, Shares “Tuesday”

Toro y Moi is kicking off a new chapter. After releasing a surprise EP in 2023 where he took a rootsy, Americana direction, the artist known as Chaz Bear will once again be making a genre pivot with his new album, Hole Erth. He’s shared the first look at the project with a new single, “Tuesday” — stream it below.

Due out September 6th via Dead Oceans, Hole Erth is described as a crossroads of pop-punk and introspective rap. On “Tuesday,” Chaz soaks in suburban malaise, letting driving guitar chords and an anthemic chorus bring the nostalgia factor in full force.

“Growing up, the often-controversial-line between mainstream and underground artists was so defined, but now that line has become so blurred I can’t even tell what I like anymore…sometimes,” he shared in a statement.

The artist also unveiled a brief run of live shows and festival appearances, kicking off in Vancouver in August. Tickets are available here.
