The Rocky Horror Picture Show’s 50th anniversary celebration has now brought a deluxe vinyl reissue to the party.
Released today, October 10th, via Ode Records, the 50th anniversary vinyl edition of The Rocky Horror Picture Show is pressed on 180-gram red-in-gold vinyl and comes housed in a heavyweight gold-foil jacket with a newly designed inner sleeve. The album package features never-before-seen photos and production diary excerpts from producer Richard Hartley. It’s available for purchase on Amazon and through Record Store Day.

The ongoing 50th anniversary celebration of the iconic camp classic includes a tour, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show Spectacular Tour,” which features appearances, meet and greets and more with original cast members Barry Bostwick, Patricia Quinn, and Nell Campbell. The run of dates launched on September 23rd, and runs through November 3rd. Slated to hit 55 cities across the US and Canada, the tour will often happen in multiple cities on the same date. Most notably, the penultimate stop in Anaheim, California, on November 2nd will boast a rare appearance by Frank-N-Furter himself, Tim Curry. See the full itinerary below. Throughout October, the movie will return to theater big screens across the country in its newly restored 4K version, including a special screening at the GRAMMY Museum on October 15th, followed by a panel discussion celebrating the soundtrack featuring Fat Mike of the punk band NOFX, among others.
