Steve Albini's Estate Announces Weekly Archives Sale

Following his passing just over a year ago, the estate of Steve Albini has announced a sale of his archives. Taking place through an internet storefront called Steve Albini’s Closet, the legendary producer and engineer’s rare vinyl, books, zines, original art, and more are available for purchase, with new items expected to be posted in weekly spurts.

“Steve pursued many fields of interest, and most of them are represented somewhere in his collections,” reads the website for Steve Albini’s Closet. It further reveals that every item will be stamped with a Certificate of Authenticity from Byron Coley, the estate’s administrator. All proceeds will go toward Albini’s estate.

Those interested in purchasing a piece of Albini’s collection can sign up on the sale’s website here. A note on the homepage states that approximately 100 to 200 new items will be listed every Friday. Some recently sold items include records by Can, Elvis Costello, Burzum, the Didjits, and more.
